Cranberry Lemon Bundt Cake

How beautiful is this cake? It tasted as good as it looks. It was super easy to make and didn't take long at all. I wasn't able to find fresh cranberries in the store yet, so I did use frozen. I just let them defrost all the way before I started.

Candles

It's no secret that I LOVE candles. They're in every room in our house. Here are some that I've recently been eyeing. I'm obsessed with the brand Diptyque. Their candles are so fragrant but not overpowering.

Kiwi Caipirinha

One of my favorite cocktails is a caipirinha. I first tried one after I read the book Chasing Harry Winston (one of my favorite books!). One of the main characters is from Brazil, so that's all she drinks. Caipirinhas are made with cachaça (pronounced KA-SHA-SAH), a distilled liquor made from sugar cane juice. It is the most popular distilled alcoholic beverage in Brazil. This recipe also includes kiwis, which I love!! I hope you enjoy this drink as much as I do!

MY TOP 7 FACE MASKS

ORIGINS GinZing
I love this mask because it wakes my skin up and the smell is amazing.

Murad Clarifying Mask
I like to use this mask when I feel like I'm starting to break out. It puts a stop to the zits immediately.

Aztec Secret Healing Clay - Available at Whole Foods
This hidden gem I found at Whole Foods. You mix a little dry clay powder with water until you get a nice consistency for a mask. It really is deep pore cleaning and you can't beat the price! This tub will probably last me the rest of my life.

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
This mask not only looks cool but it's fun to peel off once it dries.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask
This is one of my favorite masks. It foams up and just makes your skin feel wonderful!

ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask
This is my go to mask. I can definitely see an improvement in my skin after I wash it off.

GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment
I tried this mask for the first time last week. I've seen all those pictures online of the girls with this on their noses with black dots where their blackheads are. I did not get the same outcome. I don't know if it's because I don't have a lot of blackheads or what. So I will try it again soon. I did like the little tingling feeling it gave my skin though.

Homemade Granola

I love homemade granola! I love to put it on top of yogurt, fruit bowls, smoothies, or just eat it plain. Last time I made some I used Goop's recipe found here. I've been out of it for awhile now and decided to try out a new recipe.

INGREDIENTS
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup puffed millet
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 325.
2. In a large bowl combine oats, almonds, coconut, millet, pumpkin seeds, ground flax, cinnamon, ginger, and sea salt.
3. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup and brown sugar. Simmer over low/medium heat, until everything is melted. Slowly pour over oat mixture and mix until incorporated.
4. Spread out mixture on a large, rimmed, baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, stirring it up every 10-15 minutes.
5. Let cool. Store at room temperature. Enjoy!

Labor Day Weekend

Hey guys! Here are some pictures from last weekend. I had the pleasure of being in the wedding of two of my long time friends. They are seriously the cutest couple and I'm so happy they finally tied the knot!
After the wedding, Kris and I headed down to Cresent City, California to camp in the Redwood Forrest; our favorite camping spot!
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!

Orange Carrot Juice

Hey guys! Today I'm sharing with you my all time favorite juice recipe. I have fresh juice every morning and it is so good! My day just doesn't feel right if I skip a day. It's a great healthy way to jumpstart your day. I also plan on sharing my other juice recipes, like The Green Monster, in a later post.
I use the Breville Juice Fountain Plus juicer. I've had it for years and it works great!

INGREDIENTS
8 small carrots or about 5 large ones
2 Apples, cut into 4ths
2 Oranges, peeled
1/2 lemon, peeled
1 piece ginger (about the size of your thumb)

DIRECTIONS
Put all items through juicer, and enjoy!

Do you have any favorite juice recipes? I'd love to know what they are!
